In 1998, Südzucker laid the foundation for today's PortionPack Group when two of the leading companies in the field of portion packaging merged: Van Oordt, founded in 1734, with locations in the Netherlands and Belgium, and HELLMA, founded in 1923 in Nuremberg, Germany.
Today, the PortionPack Group has grown to seven companies in seven countries and is primarily active in three markets: foodservice, retail, and food production. PortionPack is valued for its innovative strength, expertise, and high quality, and is now widely regarded as the specialist in the production and distribution of portion packs for numerous food products, far beyond sugar.
