AGRANA was founded in 1988 as a holding company for the Austrian sugar and starch industry. In 1989, the company entered into a strategic partnership with Südzucker AG. Since then, AGRANA has grown significantly through acquisitions and organic growth and has developed into a leading global supplier of fruit preparations and a major player in the starch and sugar sector throughout Europe.
Today, AGRANA is represented worldwide with around 9,000 employees in 49 production facilities on all continents.
