Freiberger was founded in 1976 when Bavarian entrepreneur Ernst Freiberger took over a small pizza delivery bakery in Berlin-Moabit that was threatened with bankruptcy, thus laying the foundation for today's company.
By 1986, the then largest pizza factory in Europe was established in Berlin-Reinickendorf. In the years that followed, Freiberger continued to grow steadily—among other things, through the takeover of baguette production in Muggensturm and new locations in the UK, Austria, and the US.
Since 1998, Freiberger has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Südzucker AG. For 50 years, Freiberger has been creating and producing favorite pizzas for every taste—frozen and chilled, for retailers worldwide.
Complemented by snacks, baguettes, and pasta dishes, Freiberger offers enjoyment in all its facets: fast, delicious, and individual. The products can be found on supermarket shelves around the globe.
